Goal: Capture all your opponent's pieces or block them from moving.
Setup: Each player starts with 12 musical note pieces on a checkerboard (p1 = ♯ Sharp on top, p2 = ♭ Flat on bottom).
Controls: Tap a piece to select it, then tap a highlighted square to move.
Movement: Notes move diagonally forward one square. Chord pieces (promoted) move diagonally in any direction, sliding multiple squares.
Capturing: Jump diagonally over an adjacent enemy piece into the empty square beyond. Forced capture rule: if you can jump, you must!
Multi-jump: If after a jump you can jump again with the same piece, you must continue jumping.
Promotion: A note reaching the far row becomes a powerful Chord piece.
Harmonize: If three of your pieces sit on consecutive diagonal squares after a move, they fuse into one Chord piece on the middle square (the outer two are removed).
Win: Eliminate all opponent pieces or leave them with no moves.
Draw: If 80 turns pass with no capture and no harmonize, the game is a draw.
